The president of the State of East Indonesia (Indonesian: Presiden Negara Indonesia Timur) was the head of state of the State of East Indonesia (Negara Indonesia Timur, NIT), which existed from 1946 until 1950, when the state was dissolved into the Republic of Indonesia. Balinese nobleman Tjokorda Gde Raka Soekawati was the first and only person to have served as president, though the speaker of the Provisional Representative Body would take over as acting president when Soekawati went on overseas trips.
