Plot
editThe film begins with a callow couple, Babu Rao & Parvati, who have a pure heart. Babu Rao works as a temple security guard. Though poor, they lead a delightful life with their benevolent daughter Lakshmi & naughty son Balu. Lakshmi is a devout girl who aspires to leave before her husband after the nuptials. Once, she had a bridal connection with a guy, Bhaskar, a well-paid engineer at a Vizag steel plant. So, Babu Rao walks on when a thing surprises him: Bhaskar resides with a Christian family, Peter, & Stella, and announces them as his siblings. Then, Bhaskar clarifies that the two are besties from childhood. Bhaskar lost his parents in childhood, and Peter's mother reared him along with her progeny. Currently, they live together without any religious barriers. They go to matchmaking when Parvati suspects Bhaskar's specific interest in knitting Lakshmi. Whereat, Bhaskar divulges that he has already seen & endeared Lakshmi in a strange situation, which made him intentionally propose the match further. Henceforth, the wedlock accomplishes Bhaskar & Lakshmi have a blissful time. The two families mingle as a single entity with frequent visits, and their joy is borderless when Lakshmi conceives.
Tragically, fate overturns when Bhaskar advances to a master of health check-up with his family doctor, Sriram Murthy. Shockingly, he diagnoses him with a person with brain cancer, at the death's door and absence of treatment for it. Ergo, the doctor discloses the awful truth to Peter, who collapses and covertly starts Bhaskar's medication. Spotting it, Bhaskar devastates discerning the fact after inquiring, slowly destroying the home's happiness. Bhaskar is resilient and takes the necessary steps to lead Lakshmi to a better life by entrusting her responsibility to Peter. Yet, Bhaskar can't abide by the pain, so he scripts all his grief in a letter and asks Peter to hand it over to Lakshmi at the passing. Currently, the Babu Rao couple conducts a baby shower function for Lakshmi and carries her to the nucleus. Here, as a fortune, Dr. Sriram Murthy is conscious that Dr. Ram Prasad from the USA has invited a treatment for Bhaskar's disease. He immediately contacts him, who proclaims he can secure him until the patient has a vision. Just when, pitifully, Bhaskar loses his eyesight, but with a hope of light, Peter sets the meeting for Bhaskar's journey. Accordingly, they realize the letter has reached Lakshmi, so Bhaskar rushes to Lakshmi until it's too late since she consumes poison. At last, Lakshmi leaves her breath in her husband's lap, and Bhaskar follows her. Finally, the movie ends by showing the couple is immortal.
