Quchan Atiq District (Persian: بخش قوچان عتیق) is in Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shahr-e Kohneh,[2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 3,320 people in 1,062 households.[3]

History
editIn 2019, Quchan Atiq Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Quchan Atiq District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Yazdan Rural District.[2] The village of Shahr-e Kohneh was elevated to the status of a city.[4]
