Mai Quyền Linh (born July 28, 1969)[2] is a Vietnamese film actor, comedian, stage performer, and television host.[3] Since 1992, Quyền Linh has appeared in hundreds of films and television dramas and is considered one of the most beloved actors in Vietnam.[4][5] He also holds the record for the most Golden Apricot Awards won by any artist, with a total of 6 awards.[6][7]

In addition to his acting career, Quyền Linh is also a well-known MC, having hosted dozens of television programs across various genres.[8] Notably, "Vượt lên chính mình", a program he both directed and hosted, won five Golden Apricot Awards between 2005 and 2008.[5][9]
Currently, Meritorious Artist Quyền Linh serves as the Vice President of the Vietnam Cinema Association,[10] a member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Cinema Association,[11] and was appointed Director of Gia Định Film Studio by the City Cinema Association in 2007.[12]
Personal Life
editIn January 2004, Quyền Linh married Dạ Thảo.[13] The couple has two daughters, named Mai Thảo Linh and Mai Thảo Ngọc.[14]
