Rainawari is a location in Srinagar, Kashmir. Rainawari lies on NH "Srinagar-Leh" road about 4 km from Lalchowk[3].Rainawari was known as Rajanavatika in Ancient times an was considered the largest suburbs of Srinagar falling on North side traversed by numerous canals coming from Dal Lake.[4]

Rainawari is located at 34°05′52″N 74°49′23″E / 34.097858°N 74.823088°E / 34.097858; 74.823088 is approx. 5 km (3.1 mi) towards North from district headquarters in Srinagar. The area is bounded by Badamwari and Khanyar from West, Dalgate from South and Dal Lake from North and East.
