Background

edit

In April 2013, the Wildhearts played a string of UK shows to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut full-length album Earth vs the Wildhearts. Each show comprised two sets – the first a performance of the album in full, the second an "audience participation section" in which show attendees were able to choose the songs.[1] After an initial run of just four shows, the band later added six more dates across two weekends in June 2013.[2] Recordings from the Rock City, Nottingham show were recorded by Rob Baldock of Re:Live Recordings and released as Rock City vs The Wildhearts starting on the band's April 2014 tour.[3]
