Career
editStevenage
editTinubu started his career at Stevenage, signing a full-time academy scholarship contract in July 2021.[4] He signed his first professional contract with the club on 2 October 2021.[4] Tinubu made his first-team debut, his only appearance for the club, in Stevenage's 3–0 away defeat to Oldham Athletic on 16 October 2021, coming on as an 80th-minute substitute in the match.[3][5] In doing so, he broke Liam Smyth's record (17 years and 37 days) of Stevenage's youngest debutant in the Football League and also became the club's second youngest ever debutant, at the age of 17 years and 18 days old.[2][6]
Tinubu joined Southern League Division One Central club Biggleswade Town on an initial one-month loan agreement on 27 January 2023.[7] The move meant he would be managed by Robbie O'Keefe, who was academy manager at Stevenage whilst Tinubu was playing in the club's academy.[7] Tinubu debuted for Biggleswade in a 1–0 away victory against Barton Rovers a day later and scored his first goal in senior football in a 4–2 home victory against Ware on 14 February 2023.[8] The loan agreement was extended until the end of the 2022–23 season and Tinubu scored three goals in 19 appearances during his time there.[8][9] He was released by Stevenage in May 2023.[10]
