Samo Burja is a Slovenian political scientist and president of Bismarck Analysis, a political risk consultancy.[1] He is a research fellow at the Long Now Foundation and the Foresight Institute.[2] Burja is credited with developing Great Founder Theory.[3] The theory hypothesizes that founders can cause societal change through the creation of institutions that persist in the long-term, emphasizing the importance of human choice and construction in contrast with theories of institutionalism.[4][5] Burja is a contributor to Politico, Palladium Magazine, Asia Times, City Journal, and The National Interest.[6][7][8][3][9] He has interviewed public figures including the Slovenian Marxist theorist and philosopher Slavoj Žižek and the musician Grimes.[10][11]
