Sang-e Sefid (Persian: سنگ سفيد)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Shabab Rural District of Shabab District, Chardavol County,[b] Ilam province, Iran.[5] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Shabab,[6] now a city.[4]

The village is populated by Kurds.[7]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 442 in 94 households, when it was in the Central District.[8] The following census in 2011 counted 444 people in 114 households.[9] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 460 people in 135 households,[2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the formation of Shabab District.[4]
