Dr. Satish Ramrao Devane (born 1964) is an Indian engineer. He has served as the Principal of KBT College of Engineering (KBTCOE), Nashik, since January 2021.[1] He previously worked at Datta Meghe College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai, where he contributed to research in machine learning and healthcare technology.[2]

Publications and citations

Devane has published research papers in journals and is cited in the academic community. His work on machine learning for myocardial infarction detection is particularly noteworthy.[3][4][5]

STEM initiatives

Devane inaugurated a three-day STEM workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of teachers. This initiative, organized in collaboration with IISER Pune and supported by TDK India Pvt Ltd, focuses on providing educators with updated knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.[6]

Personal life

In 2013, Devane was bitten while protecting his two-year-old pet dog from a rabid stray. The bit caused him to lose part of his right thumb from the middle joint.[7]

Education

Satish Devane earned a B.E.in electronics from Bangalore University in 1986. He went on to earn an M.E. in electronics from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in 1994.

Devane earned a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2006, specializing in network security and e-commerce.[8]
