Anthony Chukwuma Onwubuariri (born 12 September) professionally known as Scooby Nero is a Nigerian songwriter, actor, and musician.[1] He is the founder of “Stormy Jet Life”.[2] He is best known for the single “Washkalakunda” which was first released in 2016.[3]

Biography
editAnthony Chukwuka Onwubuariri was born on 12 September, in Warri, Delta State to Mr and Mrs Onwubuariri, as the only child, but originally hails from Amaigbo, Imo State. He acquired his primary education in Warri, Delta State where he also spent some of his childhood. In 1994, he relocated to Lagos with his family due to the conflict in the region. He finished his secondary education from Febilak International Secondary School, Lagos.
Music career
editFormerly known by the stage name "Tony Tonero", he debuted the entertainment scene as a choreographer for RuggedMan, American singer LL Cool J and Akon in the 2006 Star Mega Jam held in Lagos, Nigeria.[4] He attended Imagneto Dance Academy, where he trained as a professional dancer. However, he stopped dancing professionally in 2010 and relocated to South Africa to pursue his career in music.[4]
In 2012, Anthony started his music career in Johannesburg where he trained for several years in music. But, he officially started his career as a recording artiste in 2015 with the debut of his first single "Washkalakunda" featuring Gigi Lamayne. That same year, he released "Indomie Boy" featuring Kwesta and two others. In October 2017, he debuted his first album "Scooby Sauce Vol 1" comprising 16 tracks including "Dey Know Me", "Don't Stop" and "Jah Man Juice". His second album "Scooby Sauce Vol 2" was released in 2019.
In 2017, he released "Washkalakunda" and later the remix in March 2017, featuring Gigi Lamayne", "Maraza", "AB Crazy" & "Mizdee". In 2023, Scooby Nero launched his podcast “Stormy Jet life”.[2]
