editIn the 2024 British Columbia general election, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in Columbia River-Revelstoke.[1] McInnis was previously a candidate for that riding with BC United before switching to the Conservative Party after the former suspended its campaign to support the latter.
