Scott W. Pappano (born c. 1967) is a United States Navy vice admiral who has served as the principal military deputy to the assistant secretary of the Navy (research, development, and acquisition) since June 26, 2024.[1] He most recently served as the program executive officer for strategic submarines.[2] He previously served as the commander of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center.[3]

In May 2024, Pappano was nominated for promotion to vice admiral and assignment as principal military deputy to the assistant secretary of the Navy (research, development, and acquisition).[4][5]
