Seán Grehan (born 8 January 2004) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Crystal Palace. He is a Republic of Ireland youth international.[1]

Career
editFrom Dublin, Grehan came through at Bohemians and featured in the first team for the first time in the FAI Cup against College Corinthians in July 2021. He signed for Premier League side Crystal Palace from Bohemians in August 2022 following a trial.[2][3] He signed a new three-year contract with Palace in December 2023.[4] In January 2024, he signed on loan with Carlisle United.[5] On 3 February 2024, Grehan made his professional debut as a late substitute in Carlisle's 3–2 defeat away to Leyton Orient.[6]
International career
editIn 2022, Grehan received a call-up to the Republic of Ireland U19 side making seven appearances in total.[7] The following season he featured four times for the Republic of Ireland U21 side.[8]
Style of play
editHe has been described as a versatile player, who can play on the right or left side, and centre-back who loves defending but can also pass the ball from the back.[9]
