The station lies between Albert Park and East Grange stations, with the Grange Line providing essential connectivity for western suburbs. The line was originally constructed in 1882, serving as an extension from Woodville to Henley Beach. In 1986, part of the line to Henley Beach was closed, leaving the current terminus at Grange.[2]
