Production
editMurali signed the film before completing his previous film Yashwanth (2003).[2] S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and Prakash Raj were initially considered to act in the film.[3]
Murali did all the stunts himself.[4] The first schedule was shot in Bangalore.[3] A month later, a chase sequence was also shot in Bangalore.[4] Hindi actor Akhilendra Mishra stars in the film.[5] In the climax, Deepu carries a bag containing 1000-rupee notes amounting up to three crore rupees. The makers of the film received backlash since the 1000-rupee note was worth only 2 rupees in the black market.[citation needed]
