Early life and education
editLevy Dabbah was born in Mexico. He earned a bachelor's degree in law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 2001.[4][3][5] He specialized in Chinese Law at Renmin University of China in 2004. He pursued a master's degree in international management from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in 2010 [4][5] and an MBA from the School of Management at Tecnológico de Monterrey (EGADE ITESM) in 2012.[3][5] Levy completed his PhD in public-private partnerships and urban economy at UNAM and conducted post-doctoral studies at Yale University, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Data Science and AI at UC Berkeley and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.[5]
Career highlights
editLevy served as the undersecretary of tourism for the Mexican government from December 2018 to May 2019,[4][6][7] appointed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. Prior to this, he was the CEO of the Investment and Development Agency of the Mexico City Government, PROCDMX.[4][5][8][9][10] Levy was the chairman of the board of Latinasia Group, an investment fund organization, for ten years.[4][5][11][12] Currently, he is the chairman of Ideasia Investment Fund and serves as a board member.[5][11]
Academic contributions
editLevy has been a professor at UNAM's Law Faculty since 2006 and has taught international management and entrepreneurship at Tecnológico de Monterrey (2009–2011).[4] He founded the Mexico-China National Professorship at UNAM and the first Mexico-China specialized think tank “Agendasia.”[4][5][13]
