Susanne Raab (German: [sʊˈzanɛ ʁaːp]; née Knasmüller; born 20 October 1984) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) who serves at the cabinet level.[1] She has been instrumental for integration of the country's immigrant population, which is ruled by the "Amended Ministerial Law (in German: Bundesministeriengesetz) 1986".[2]

Career

Raab served as Minister for Women and Integration from 29 January 2020, in the government of president Alexander Van der Bellen.[1][3]

From 1 February 2021 to 4 January 2022 she served as Federal Minister for Women, Family, Youth and Integration in the second government of Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.[1][4]

From 5 January 2022 Raab has served as Federal Minister for Women, Family, Integration and Media in the Nehammer government.[1]

During March 2024 Raab paid an official visit to Washington DC where she met with senior officials from the US Department of State, as well as to the UN in New York.[5]
