Premise
edit"She takes the part of Annette, a little French orphan, who sings her way into the hearts of British Tommies, billeted behind the Maginot Line. She mothers the men of the Regimental Band and, with their aid and the support of the kindly village cure, manages to persuade the Mayor to allow her to remain in the village, although he thinks she should go to an orphanage in Paris."[7]
