History

edit

On 11 June 2020, Sky Italia announced the show, debuting on 29 of the same month[1] and hosted by Andrea Bonini.

The show, maintained by Sky TG24's editorial team, aired from 12 AM and lasted for about 35 minutes, preceded by a short preview. The show ended with Super 8, the summary of eight of the most important news items covered in the show. Soon after, the weather forecast, maintained by IlMeteo, was broadcast, also broadcast at 7:30 PM and late night, even though they are not preceded by the show.

On 23 March 2021, Sky announces the show's end due to low ratings recorded in the time slot in which was broadcast acting as an interlude in the show Ogni mattina. The last episode was aired on 2 April 2021.[2] It was also hosted by Francesca Baraghini.

TV8 Sport

edit

TG8 Sport, which is a sport news show, debuted on 4 July 2020. It is maintained by Sky Sport 24's editorial team and broadcast on weekends at 12:35 AM.[3] Like TG8, the sport news program is preceded by a short preview and by a summary. In the show, experts and optionists intervene in the studio.

TG8 Sport, even though TG8 is ended, it is still on air, but only on days with sport events (which includes Formula1 and MotoGP replicas). In 2022, the show becomes TV8 Sport, with the same presenter and changing graphics with new colors.
