History
editTahaluf was co-founded in 2022 as a strategic joint venture between Informa, a London-based business intelligence and exhibitions group, and the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones (SAFCSP), with the aim of organizing and hosting digital events in Saudi Arabia.[4][5][6]
In 2022, Tahaluf co-founded the LEAP Tech Event in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the SAFCSP.[7][8] The inaugural LEAP event took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.[7][8] In November 2022, Tahaluf and the SAFCSP co-organized Black Hat Middle East and Africa (formerly @HACK), held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia during the Riyadh Season.[9]
In June 2023, the Events Investment Fund (EIF), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia's National Development Fund, announced the acquisition of a significant stake in Tahaluf.[2][10][11][12] In August 2023, Thaluf entered a three-year agreement with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing to organize the Cityscape Global exhibition, the world's largest property development exhibition, in Saudi Arabia.[12][13] In September 2023, Tahaluf hosted its inaugural Cityscape exhibition at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham, Saudi Arabia.[14][15]
