History
editTakiya Station opened on October 28, 1941, as an intermediate station on the extension of eastern section of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) Tadami Line between Aizu-Yanaizu and Aizu-Miyashita.[1] The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the JNR on April 1, 1987.
