Águas de Linóia and Apollo 11
editThe City exibits one very interesting "nota fiscal" (bill of sale) NF nº 20.218, printed in 2 of april of 1969, three and half months before the man land on Moon for the first time on board of Apollo 11. As this document, there was shipped to Cape Kennedy, as requested by NASA, 100 dozen of bottles with 500 ml (half liter) filled with mineral water from Águas de Lindóia.
Some people who worked on the bottle enterprise at that time confirmed the story and believe that the water sent was token from the Santa Filomena Fountain, who still produces water on the Balneário.
The NASA webpage proves that the Eagle Capsule, where the astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins made the trip, had two water reservoirs, but doesnt specify with wich water they where supplied.
The reasons that would led NASA to choose the mineral water from Àguas de Lindóia are the low acidity and fast absortion by the organism.[1][2] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.171.167.32 (talk) 21:18, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
