Ideas for improvement
edit- Structure - at the moment, it's four, one-sentence, paragraphs as a Lead, and a Gallery. I go for something like, Lead / History / Architecture;
- Gallery - for me, the images are too big, and dominate the article;
- Further reading - five sources, but none of them used. If they contain useful information, then use it and cite them. If they don't, what are they adding?
- Building - what is the age of the church? What architectural style is it? Lonely Planet (better source?) calls it, "France’s largest and finest Basque church". That's got to be worth a quote. Did any notable architects/artists work there? Looking at images, the multiple galleries look interesting and definitely worth a mention.[1] Are they rare? The ceiling, gold stars on a red background, looks 19th century to me. Was it restored?
- Monument historique - why is it listed? What is its significance? The listing gives the dates of construction, notes it is a good example of the Basque type, etc., etc. There's plenty that could be included beyond the basic fact that it's listed;
- History - why did Louis marry there? It's a bit out of the way. Presumably because of its location on the border, is it the first church you hit when crossing from Spain into France? And why three cites for a single fact? But is that all of the history? What about today?
Hope this is helpful. KJP1 (talk) 18:23, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
