The result of this discussion was stale. However, I have chosen to redirect the page to Kurdistan as it was made by a sock and was problematic. Semsûrî (talk) 10:25, 22 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

This page ought to be merged with Kurdistan as the term Ezidxan is merely what Yazidis call Kurdistan as per referenced in the page. --Semsûrî (talk) 09:37, 4 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Strongly Oppose:The term Êzîdxan is used by Yazidis and the term Kurdistan is used by Kurds. There are a lot of other names to describe the Mesopotamian region, for example the term Assyria which is used by Assyrians. Dortana (talk) 12:03, 4 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Comment These are false equivalences. Assyria, Kurdistan and Mesopotamia are not and have never been different words for the same geo-cultural region (they simply overlap). Ezidxan and Kurdistan refer to the same geo-cultural region. --Semsûrî (talk) 12:41, 4 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
The term Êzîdxan is the native name of the Mesopotamian region. Dortana (talk) 12:47, 4 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ezidkhan history

edit

There have been several articles connected to a Ezidkhan or Yezidkhan, and I have checked some of those page histories and this one and some of what can be found in the German article of Ezidkhan might be enough for an article. I do not see enough sources for a region of the extension of Kurdistan, but one of a historical region around Ridvan and one of the current around Sinjar which seems to have quite some sources in the German version. It will be a better stub, but like this someone might feel encouraged to add more. I am waiting for responses and thoughts here before I re-create the article from one of the redirects. I'd like to end the current ongoing edit war and bring some calmness into the area.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 20:53, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

If the term is not defined geographically I don't see why it should have its own article. List of Yazidi settlements could also be the place to expand about info on Ezidxan if its a term that is uses freely for all Yazidi populated places. The reference that was used in the article did state that Ezidxan was basically what Yazidis call Kurdistanp. 259. Now, if Ezidxan was a historical region, I can support a article if supported by RS.
