editDeath information
editThis page tends to get heated quickly around the "is he living/dead" issue, so let's preempt that with some civil discussion on the talk page. I see that his year of death was added based on the obituary of what is presumably his son, although there's no direct proof that the Oscar A. Mendoza mentioned who died in 1995 is the same person as the subject of this article. Having said that, it is noted that the subject of the obituary was also the son of Berta Rosales Mendoza. Spanish Wikipedia lists Berta Rosales Mendoza as being Óscar's wife, so if we can get a reliable source that this was indeed the case, then the obituary should be sufficient to confirm a year of death of 1995 for Óscar. Personally I'm convinced, but the threshold of WP:V is just a little higher. Canadian Paul 13:35, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
- I agree. There is aditional info on https://www.myheritage.com/names/oscar_mendoza , where it is stated that Oscar Alberto Mendoza is son of Ricardo Mendoza and Natalia Mendoza (Azurdia), and was married to Berta Rosales, but it is also not a reliable source. - OK, this should confirm the wife identity, in which case the obituary can be used. Mewulwe (talk) 17:32, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
