Throstur Leo Gunnarsson → Þröstur Leó Gunnarsson —
- Throstur Leo Gunnarsson to be moved to -- > Þröstur Leó Gunnarsson, per correct diacritical marks. Somehow my redirect went wonky. ExRat (talk) 17:25, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- Comment Throstur Leo Gunnarsson: 22k hits ; Thröstur Leó Gunnarsson: 122k hits ; Þröstur Leó Gunnarsson: 22k hits ; 64.229.100.61 (talk) 23:13, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- Comment. But his name is Þröstur Leó Gunnarsson, and aside from one English language film, that is how he is credited and others with diacritical marks in their names keep their names per convention. ExRat (talk) 03:44, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
- Comment: This move is not controversial in my view, as people with diacritical marks in their names conventionally have them kept in their articles titles. Icelandic examples include: Þorbjörg Pálsdóttir, Hjálmar Þórarinsson and Guðmundur Sigurjónsson. I was simply asking it to be redirected to Þröstur Leó Gunnarsson, as was my intention when I created the article, but somehow my redirect went a bit wrong. Anyone typing "Throstur Leo Gunnarsson" will still be directed to the correct page. ExRat (talk) 08:34, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support. The subject is Icelandic and is known (solely?) for work in Iceland. — AjaxSmack 18:48, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support uncontroversial use of wp:diacritics, article's creator's intent. walk victor falk talk 22:32, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
