Size of island
editIf the island is 8km long and 3km wide, how can it be 25km squared? 68.97.41.114 (talk) 23:54, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Conquest
editA previous editor commented out the line
- İmralı was conquered from the Byzantine Empire in 1308 by Emir Ali, the fleet commander of Orhan Gazi.
with the note
- (I think there is a mistake here. Orhan Gazi's rule does not start until 1326.)
I don't have a source for the captain, but the 1308 date seems well-taken. I'll reinclude it with the source. I imagine the commander is also correct and the confusion comes from making a note of his later ruler, but that can wait for a reliable source. — LlywelynII 08:55, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
