Mythology?

It it correct to say, "This mythology-related article is a stub" ? Olorun is a Lukumí (aka Santeria) deity. Doesn't this mean the article is religion-related? Rossj81 12:19, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I suppose it's not incorrect. Olorun is a central character in all yoruba based cosmologies, and can be found or traced in many modern and ancient faiths. So it's probably both mythology AND religion related. It would fall under the definition of mythology, see article. --Qyd 12:50, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps a better question to ask is why Yoruban religious figures are mythology-related and Christian, Muslim, Jewish, etc. religious figures are religion-related. A better way to label these articles would be "religious mythology-related" or "cosmology-related." Slide424 02:25, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Only one God Yoruba

Deleted strange references to Christianity

Especially egregious was this:

Many medieval philosophers and modern philosophers developed arguments for Olòrún's existence.

Many philosophers and intellectuals have, in contrast, developed arguments against Olòrún's existence.

Pretty sure that there are no references to Olòrún anywhere in European theological studies.

I also deleted this paragraph as it doesn't make any sense whatsoever:

It is difficult to distinguish between proper names and epithets of Olòrún, such as the list of names associated with Olódùmarè and , the names of Allah, and names of YHWH and the the thousand names of Vishnu and list of titles and names of Krishna and names and titles of Jesus e.t.c.
