Orbital speed

Can someone compute the mean orbital speed. It is straight forward given the orbital data we have but I don't have enough facility with mathematical tools to be at all confident in my own calculations. 15,000 km/s can't be right, can it? Eluchil404 13:08, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

New data on (144898) 2004 VD17

Note that this object has been removed from the JPL Risk page following observations in February 2008. It is still on the NEODys site but the Palermo Scale ratings have fallen. Pdthomas23 (talk) 11:59, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Estimated diameter

Article says 580 metres diameter, and infobox says 0.5-1.1 km - Which is latest/best estimate ? (The Torino scale values depend on the mass estimate) - Rod57 (talk) 08:58, 11 December 2021 (UTC)

Neither. 580m assumes an albedo of ~0.15 with H=18.8. 500-1100 meters in more the albedo range 0.25 (460m) to 0.05 (1000m). -- Kheider (talk) 12:50, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
