I've just come across a source that describes a major earthquake in Cilicia in 1269 with a lot more detail than any of the sources for the 1268 date. It's in the CFTI5MED catalogue. Perhaps critically for the recent earthquakes, only 8,000 deaths are attributed. As I'm away I won't update the article until my return later this month. So moved, and I've started to update the article, but will be travelling over the next few days, so won't probably finish the rewrite and expansion until the end of the week. Mikenorton (talk) 10:16, 21 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well, things got in the way and I forgot all about this, but working on the 1511 Idrija earthquake jogged my memory. I've added a "Tectonic setting" section and will work on a "Damage" section over the next few days. Mikenorton (talk) 16:44, 1 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
