editHi, this looks quite good. I've performed a quick copy edit - please feel free to revert anything you don't agree with. I have the following observations/comments that you might consider looking at:
- there is inconsistent capitalisation/presentation: "the battalion" and "the Battalion";
- in Citations, but not in References: works by Buckingham, Reynolds and Norton;
- in References, but not in Citations: work by Yeide & Stout;
- "Of the 252 men, three were acquitted" (this number seems inconsistent - in the previous sentence it says "255 men");
- "The 5th Parachute Brigade then left the Far East to rejoin the 6th Airborne Division now serving in Palestine" - is there a date that could be provided for this?
- if possible, you might consider adding some information about why all the amalgamations occurred post 1947. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 10:36, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review - changes implemented, Palestine is just skipped over in what references I can find - There is a book on the 6th Airborne in Palestine which I hope has some details in not provided elsewhere. I have had it ordered at my local library for some time now just waiting for it to be returned. Jim Sweeney (talk) 21:11, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, Jim, no worries, it was an interesting read. There's just one point I think needs to be looked at. From my perspective, the punctuation in these two clauses is wrong: "The battalions drop was scattered" and "the battalions men were at" (I believe that there should be an apostrophe in "battalions" as in these two cases the "s" is denoting possession of "drop" and "men" by the battalion). Keep up the good work. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 23:40, 26 May 2011 (UTC)
