2023 additions

Kges1901 thank you for your additions here. You've got far better Russian than me; can you indicate where I should start looking for the date of award of the Red Banner in the two volumes of honorific awards you sent me?

Have you any clue why the regiment was not redesignated back to the 360th, instead of being given a new number?

Are you in a position to readd the remainder from Antonin & Bykov? Kind regards Buckshot06 (talk) 22:50, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • The date of the Red Banner award is in the ruwiki article as 2 August 1944. It would be in the first guidebook (to 1944) and the orders are in chronological order. As for numbering, the unit was only the 360th for a few years after 1960, and the numbering system of the PVO missile units generally had units numbered in the high 1000s during the 1990s. And I would be able to add the remainder from Bykov's book. Kges1901 (talk) 23:48, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Not sure the date is correct, then. Would you mind rechecking pages 403 and 404 of Volume I (pages 201-203 of the source text) then? 1 Aviation Repair Base; some kind of aviation-technical (courses?) named for K.E. Voroshilov, but no mention of a Fighter Aviation Regiment on 2 August 1944..
  • They're not all in the same place, not all in strict chronological order. 4th, 21st, 50th, 127th, 157th, 162nd, 347th, and 431st Fighter Aviation Regiments were all awarded the Red Banner on 2 Agust 1944. Page 421, 212 in the source text you sent me. Buckshot06 (talk) 00:38, 23 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Kges1901 This is almost ready to be re-moved to article status as the 1537th Anti-Aircraft Rocket Regiment, but before I do that, have you spotted any other mentions for 2020 and 2021? I have added all I can see for 2021 and 2022. Buckshot06 (talk) 23:03, 25 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
