How large was the regiment?
editThe article clarifies the number of casualties the regiment suffered, but not how many men were in the regiment. The layman WP:AUDIENCE might not know how many hundreds or thousands of men there were in a US Civil War regiment and neither do I. A Thousand Words (talk) 12:23, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
The 15th Wisconsin Infantry Flag
editI noticed that the flag of the 15th Wisconsin Infantry in this article is not correct....The flag that you try to use is in Decorah, Iowa and is claimed by the Museum there as the authentic flag, yet their flag was given to the regiment as it passed through Chicago in 1862 by the Norwegian society and was never known to have been flown in combat. As I did much research into the colors, I discovered that the original flag for the 15th Wisconsin is actually at the Veterans Museum in Madison, Wisconsin and is of standard configuration....I have many photos of the Decorah flag...
If anyone has any contrary information, please do not hesitate to post it...
