Why go back this far?
editThis was a watershed legislature for every state. Many decisions, particularly at first during the war, were made at the state level, simply because there were insufficient people, money and supplies at the federal level on either side. This legislature voted to equip a total of 7 regiments for the American Civil War, which ultimately Vermont fulfilled. Student7 (talk) 00:16, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
