editThe article has several spots of POV, for example: were very keen to exploit the situation in order to expand their holdings in the Pacific... the result was a catastrophe... etc., just clean it up a little, and it could be a very good article... - Adolphus79 10:38, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Alas, [the result] of this comment is tht the then enthusiastic and hyperbolic text was toned down but not corrected. It now gives a wholly misleading impression, of straightforward (though unsourced) fact.
