The comment of 23 September 2016 by contributor Empmmus about the Ultimatum:

“This was essentially considered as a stab in the back, revealing Britain's true colours of utilising the so called "longest alliance" with Portugal for its own self interests when necessary (i.e. requesting Portuguese participation in World War I), whilst completely disregarding said alliance when it suited Britain.”

This is not supported by any source, and appears to be the contributor’s opinion. It is also out of place here, as properly-sourced details of the Portuguese reaction to the Ultimatum are covered in the following section, Aftermath. Sscoulsdon (talk) 08:46, 21 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Right, fine. That is the sort of thing that would definitely require a source. Herostratus (talk) 10:00, 21 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
