Using the existing map of the results of the election, I created a new map that shows the gains of the Republican, Democratic, and Populist parties. I used the modern Gain/Loss color code used in the modern senate and House of Representative Elections and ended up with this. I'm not certain of the accuracy, I would say anywhere between 90%-95% of it is correct. I utilized the data to my disposal as much as I could, but there were some things that completely confounded me, such as the page for this election showing an incumbent Republican loss in Arkansas, although I can't find any evidence of a Republican representative having been appointed or elected in Arkansas around this time. With changes to make it more accurate, would this map be acceptable for use on the page? I should probably reiterate that it's an edited version of the existing map, and therefore not entirely original, but I feel like with some modifications it could live up to the standard of the page and act as a useful map to visitors. @TheGrassWhistle I do think the current map needs some work. The Independent/Populist gains in Nebraska are not reflected, for example.
