  • "as well as the addition of four new storms" - is it three or four? You also say "adds three storms" in the season summary. But it's four, right?
  • "also known as the Windward Islands hurricane" - I'm not a fan if it's not really known by that name. It's a Wikipedia name, not an official name, right? Ditto when you call it the "Georgia hurricane"
  • "Earlier in 1898, the United States declared war on Spain, marking the beginning of the Spanish–American War, after the USS Maine capsized in Havana Harbor on February 15." - since I know you probably know the answer, maybe add the date when the US declared war? That way, the article (covering the entirety of 1898) doesn't have to be vague about when "earlier" is.
  • " three after the Keyser wrecked and another one after the Herndon floundered" - I think you mean "foundered". I hate the verb, but not as much as affect/effect :P
  • What's the basis for the intensity for the first few hurricanes?
  • Is "westside" correct, or "west side"? (under the Windward Islands hurricane section)

All in all, the article looks to be in pretty good shape. Just a few minor nitpicks, 12george1 (talk · contribs). ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 00:32, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
