editI have located the following relevant to this year:
1. Henri Farman flew a woman passenger, [Mlle P. Van Pottelsberghe] in Ghent Belgium, in late May 1908, as reported in Le Patriote Illustre, 7 June 1908. 2. During Leon Delagrange's tour of Italy in 1908 Mme. Therese Peltier made a solo flight at the Military Square in Turin, Italy, during which she flew 200 meters at a height of about 2 1/2 meters.
Both the above from http://www.earlyaviators.com/epeltier.htm
and; 3. The flight regarded as the first offically with a woman passenger may not have been fully controlled. In which case the first fully controlled flight with a woman passenger would be WIlbur Wright with Mrs. Harriet O. Berg in October 1908.

Are there any objections to these being added? DerbyCountyinNZ 08:50, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've added the ad:1 to the dutch wikipedia, and will add the others too after reading the links. I think it had something to do with French chauvinism during that time, that they wanted the first women to be French over French territory. So be my guest Brbbl 06:34, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
