editAs the University of Saskatchewan Huskies play football at the top level of Canadian Interuniversity Sport. I would say that each of their seasons are notable as they are one of the powerhouse programs in CIS football. As such, each season would fall into the same category as say the Michigan Wolverines or the Tennessee Volunteers. I am in the process of creating pages for each of the Saskatchewan Huskies football team's 87 seasons. Shootmaster 44 (talk) 20:34, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- 87 pages of non-notable dross then. Whooooooooo. E. Fokker (talk) 20:51, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Explain how the University of Saskatchewan football team is non-notable? Simply because you don't view Canadian Interuniversity Sport as top level, doesn't mean it is. How are these seasons any different than all the ones listed for the Michigan Wolverines football? You are lumping Canadian football and American football into one. The Saskatchewan Huskies are just as storied of a team in Canadian football, as the Wolverines are in American football. Shootmaster 44 (talk) 21:05, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- The team may be notable, but 87 seasons!! Maybe if you combine those seasons into a few pages rather than one for each year. E. Fokker (talk) 21:10, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- It may be a strawman argument. But, the Michigan Wolverines have every season since 1879. There is a drive behind the Canadian football project to have all CFL teams seasons' like this. The Saskatchewan Roughriders would have 100 pages up to this season. In fact, this season on the page you have nominated includes the provincial final against the Regina Rugby Club, which became the Roughriders in the 20s, so of any of the early seasons of the Huskies this one is more notable than others. - Fair enough, though I cant help thinking it would be better if the seasons were covered by decade pages. Individual season pages seem rather sparse, as opposed to say 1920s Saskatchewan Huskies football team, 1930s Saskatchewan Huskies football team etc. E. Fokker (talk) 22:27, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- They are sparse at the moment. But I will do some research next time I am in Saskatoon and hopefully get some more info. Shootmaster 44 (talk) 23:57, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
