Elaborating on acceptance

edit

This article is sourced to one national archives page and is more or less copied from there. This article could be better and I could see a strong argument for draftifying. So why did I accept it?

  • The article text is OGL and that's a free licence. Attribution makes it fine.
  • The article itself is reliably sourced to the National Archives.
  • The subject is obviously notable from a cursory Bing search. There are contemporaneous news articles on the riots in Glasgow and Liverpool. [1]
  • While we have 1919 South Wales race riots, this article could provide a broader overview of the subject for all of the UK.

Taking this all into consideration, I'd say it's more likely than not this wouldn't be deleted or draftified at AfD. Merely being a stub with one source doesn't mean it can't be accepted at AfC. Though I would hope to see this improved, hopefully by the person who submitted it. Chess (talk) (please   mention me on reply) 13:31, 22 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
