Year in topic
editAs per discussion at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Years the year in topic paragraph is scheduled to be deleted as it largely duplicates the links in the top box, and is not consistent with other year. Any objections should be made on that page please --BozMo|talk 19:40, 4 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Books?
editWere any notable books first published in late December of 1922? --68.53.188.30 15:24, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- In Italy, with the March on Rome, Fascism obtains power and Benito Mussolini becomes prime minister
It's my understanding that Mussonili only threatened to march on Rome, but never actually did it. Should this be changed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.208.253.57 (talk) 20:54, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Shounendan
editI have removed the following for now, pending citation, and replaced it with the arrival date for the Prince of Wales.
- "April 15 – The United Kingdom's Prince of Wales visits the Japanese paramilitary youth group Seinendan in annexed Korea."
The Prince of Wales was in Tokyo from 4/12 through 4/19.[1] He traveled via ship and train, and would not have been able to squeeze a trip to Korea and back into his schedule. The blurb for a medal for sale here states that the back of the medal is inscribed "EIKOKU KOUTAISHI DENKA GORAICHOU KINEN (His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales Visit to Korea Commemoration), SHOUNENDAN NIPPON JAMUBORI- (Youth Group, Japan Jamboree) & TAISHO 11 NEN 4 GATSU 15 NICHI (April 15, 1922)." It seems more likely that this was a Korean group gathered in Tokyo, not a visit of the Prince to Korea. The gropup does not seem to be mentioned in the published account of the Prince's trip,[2] though it is entirely possible that this was one of the many events he attended that involved youth.Don Lammers (talk) 20:37, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

I note with interest that the Oder Damn, completed in 1933, is listed as having been breached in March of 1922. Unsurprisingly no reputable source lists this event. I suggest it is removed. 82.198.140.206 (talk) 12:33, 19 September 2017 (UTC) A Passing Stranger.

Constantine I's abdication
editWhy is King Constantine I of Greece's abdication being deleted from this articles events section? GoodDay (talk) 22:33, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
- GoodDay, see WP:DOYCITE and WP:V Elizium23 (talk) 23:33, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
- Read up on the bio of the Greek monarch in question. Also note, not every entry in this article is sourced. GoodDay (talk) 23:56, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
- I don't need to "read up" on anything: the WP:ONUS is on you, when adding material to articles, that you cite them properly to a reliable secondary source. It's the same all over Wikipedia, and you should know better. Elizium23 (talk) 00:05, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
- Again, not EVERYTHING on this article SOURCED. Why are cherry picking this topic? GoodDay (talk) 00:25, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
- Prior consensus was to avoid sources in these articles, but consensus has changed in line with our verifiability policy so we are asking all editors to please supply sources when they add new material.
- An even better use of your time would be to locate and apply sources for the material that exists in the article, and then you wouldn't have to complain about it! Elizium23 (talk) 00:28, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
- I'll let others decide on whether Constantine I's 1920 abdication should be included. Not interested in going in circles with you. GoodDay (talk) 00:30, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
- We have no objections whatsoever to its inclusion, but we're gonna need a reliable source. There should be one in the source article, is that so difficult? Elizium23 (talk) 00:38, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
- Then you get sources for all the other entries in this articles. GoodDay (talk) 00:41, 12 June 2021 (UTC)
