I'm rather surprised, Alaney ... far from being a "myth," it's a known fact that Boston Garden was originally built by Tex Rickard and the MSG folks and bore that as an original name. A casual glance at the Boston Garden article gives that information. If you need references, a simple Google News archive search reveals hundreds [1]. Just a teensy bit of research, is all.
