Most of the changes are technical. More than half are commas to remove or add. @Sammi Brie: Thanks, I think I've fixed these. The draft table is one I had to make myself, as the NFL template didn't fit for AFL teams. I've corrected it for the other 60's seasons that I've done as well. Harper J. Cole (talk) 17:46, 2 April 2022 (UTC)

Copy changes

• I did this by script, but dashes should either be an en dash with spaces – like these – or an en dash without spaces—like this one.

Offseason

• Chargers' chief scout Don — no apostrophe here as an adjective, not a possessive
• Comma needed after Mitinger's entry
• but was later quoted should either have the comma dropped or change to "but he was later quoted".

• This is because a comma and conjunction together are used to link two complete sentences. "Was later quoted as saying..." is not a complete sentence. If you can remove the comma/conjunction (or semicolon) and both sentences stand alone, it's fine.

Preseason

• However, Paul Lowe fractured his right arm, and missed the entire regular season — remove the comma after "arm" for the same reason

Regular season

• Injuries played a major role in the Chargers' campaign, with eight players missing at least half the season, and twenty-three missing at least two games — see comma issue above. The second comma should go.
• But put a comma after Dick Wood for consistent use of serial comma.
• Remove comma after 24 interceptions
• Remove comma after leading receivers
• Remove comma after haul of the previous season and put both refs at the end of that sentence. "Ranked fourth..." is not a complete sentence.
• Remove comma after among the injured

• References look good, mostly Pro Football Reference, the paywalled Pro Football Researchers material, and newspapers.
• Add ESPN as a work for reference 93.
• For date style consistency, consider installing the User:Ohconfucius/script/MOSNUM dates scripts and running them when you're done.

Other

• The image of Jack Kemp is public domain. It does need an alt tag: add |alt=Refer to caption here, as the caption is sufficient alt text.
• This issue is one that's a bit bigger than this page, but the tables should have captions. Every data table should have one: see MOS:TABLECAPTION. This should be a standard for any tables, because it assists users who use screen readers. I've done this for you because you may not be familiar with this. I'd like to note that reference citations can go in captions, and they can be styled like the existing draft table. The tables using {{NFL final staff}} have this implemented on the template end. It's likely that very few NFL pages are following this.
