Debbie appears to have been named while a tropical depression
editRecent scanning of the North American map series for 1965 indicated Debbie was named prior to reaching the Gulf of Mexico, implying it was named while an initial tropical depression. The maps appear to show this as well, suddenly showing the identifier "T. D. Debbie" without ever calling it a TS first. Something to keep an eye out for, as it appears the most recent known occurrence of a TD being named in the Atlantic basin. Thegreatdr (talk) 13:59, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
- This advisory backs it up - "Tropical Depression Advisory Number 1 Debbie". ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:33, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

- I don't know about that, it was a pretty boring season, except for Betsy. Would should I do, put more emphasis into Betsy?--12george1 (talk) 19:41, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
- Because the 65 was a crudy season, is why it IMO should be shorter.
- Well, we have a similar format for the 1991 Atlantic hurricane season, which is an FA, shall I mention.--12george1 (talk) 00:08, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

- "During that day and August 25, several ships reported tropical storm and hurricane force winds." Can you expand I that please? Were thet useful? What was the peak wind?
- Wasn't too important. I don't know why I even added that little tidbit.--12george1 (talk) 00:14, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
