Debbie appears to have been named while a tropical depression

Recent scanning of the North American map series for 1965 indicated Debbie was named prior to reaching the Gulf of Mexico, implying it was named while an initial tropical depression. The maps appear to show this as well, suddenly showing the identifier "T. D. Debbie" without ever calling it a TS first. Something to keep an eye out for, as it appears the most recent known occurrence of a TD being named in the Atlantic basin. Thegreatdr (talk) 13:59, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
