Improvement suggestions

edit

I think the events should be ordered by date with sub headings by month or quarter. Some event sseem to have no dates with them at present. --Matilda talk 19:43, 9 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK, I added subheadings and sorted by date. I'll try and dish up some more dates. Dihydrogen Monoxide 02:25, 10 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

References?

edit

None of us, including me, seem to be adding references to this article as we are adding? Shouldn't we be doing so, especially if there is not a reference to the event in a linked article? -- Mattinbgn\talk 00:06, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • I think there should be a reference in the linked article, if not add one there as otherwise it will look cluttered and patchy - somethings referenced and others not - for example you wouldn't need to reference Melbourne Cup winners as we have a list of them. Similalry incumbents have lots of documentation elsewhere. So for consistency and to keep it clean the linked article must have a reference to support the fact.--Matilda talk 00:13, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Australia of the Year

edit

Hi - I saw the Seekers were moved becuase they were actually announced in 1968 (and appear in the article 1968 in Australia). Jack Brabaham was the 1966 Australian of the Year [1] but I don't have a date for the announcement. I thought they were announced on Australia Day but saw The Seekers' announcement was 17 Jan so that can't be right. Can anybody help with the announcement dates. Thanks--Matilda talk 04:06, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re the references, I have added these in and will continue to as I feel that the other articles aren't clear with their refs. Littleteddy (talk) 11:15, 15 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
The Seekers was certainly 1967. See the references - somewhere there! I don't know about the other one... Littleteddy (talk) 10:59, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
