1969 Saudi Arabian coup d'état plot → 1969 Saudi Arabian coup d'état attempt – This is how most coup attempt articles are titled. Charles Essie (talk) 19:13, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nom Seems understandable. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 20:32, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
- I would like to contest the current title in favour of the former. It was a plot (and an alleged one, at that) and never executed (no attempt was made). Faisal indeed purged the Air Force and this was trumpeted in the local press as being in response to a conspiracy, with hints that Egypt was behind it. This is of course all debatable as the claims came from the government, and that all the plotters were eventually later pardoned in stages.
