Deliberately
editThe article states "On 22 September 1972 Chancellor Brandt deliberately lost a vote of confidence, allowing President Gustav Heinemann to dissolve the Bundestag the next day." I am not sure how to take this word "deliberately". Isn't it rather the case that Brandt simply did not have majority confidence anymore? The article makes it sound like he planned to lose; instead, it seems to me that he had no choice but to call for this vote given what happened earlier in the year, and that there was no way that he was going to win it.
Notably, the German article on this topic does not contain this claim.KarlFrei (talk) 14:01, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
