Tail number vs. flight number
editI'm inaugurating this talk page by saying that I've reverted this edit. Referring to an aircraft by its tail number presents no ambiguity by contrast to doing so by its flight number, as there can be many aircraft in the sky with the same flight number at the same time.--Jetstreamer Talk 20:44, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- We need someone to translate the Russian article into English sometime... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.69.105.26 (talk) 07:23, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
Translation of Russian article
editI have completed the translation to English of the Russian article and will be moving it soon. Please view it here and feel free to make any changes as you see fit. Most of the raw translation may be viewed here. Samf4u (talk) 21:43, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
- I see a number of unsourced paragraphs there. The fact that they are unsourced in the Russian Wikipedia is not an endorsement for including that information in the English Wikipedia.--Jetstreamer Talk 21:49, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
- Not sure what you mean by move and I assume that you were just going to add the information to this article but note it has far to much detail in your translation, it needs to be copy edited and summarised and as Jetstreamer says referenced before it is added. MilborneOne (talk) 22:02, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
- It looks all reasonably well cited now. - Ahunt (talk) 22:38, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
- No, it isn't. The very first two paragraphs have no inline citations [1].--Jetstreamer Talk 23:00, 5 November 2016 (UTC)

- User:Samf4u/sandbox7 doesn not have any references, any that it did have have not been copied from the original Russian. Hence why it needs to be summarised and copy edited and properly referenced before it is put in this article. MilborneOne (talk) 23:55, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
- Ah, okay, I see. - Ahunt (talk) 00:08, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you all for your input. I'll work on inline citations and copy edit. Samf4u (talk) 20:28, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

Referenced and copy edited. I will replace the text of this article with this. Any suggestions for improvement are welcome. Samf4u (talk) 15:11, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- That new version has a lot of spelling, grammar, tense, formatting and other issues that all need addressing, preferably before it goes "live". - Ahunt (talk) 15:21, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Ahunt, If you point them out I'll fix them or you can edit it yourself if you like. Samf4u (talk) 15:36, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Okay let me run through it. I should get to that later today. - Ahunt (talk) 15:47, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Done - Ahunt (talk) 22:46, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Well done Ahunt, Thank you. Samf4u (talk) 17:31, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
- I still see entire paragraphs unsourced.--Jetstreamer Talk 18:29, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah there are a couple, including some quotes that need cites. - Ahunt (talk) 01:51, 21 December 2016 (UTC)

Two references that were originally in the article were wiped out [2]. These references were perfectly valid and from a renowned source (Flightglobal) so I'd like an explanation on why they were removed all of a sudden. Expanding doesn't mean wiping out other's job.--Jetstreamer Talk 22:43, 24 December 2016 (UTC)
What do you mean by "luxury salons [sic]"?
edit"Salons" are not usually found on airplanes, but considering this was a Soviet-era plane, anything is possible! Autodidact1 (talk) 04:12, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
